BAODING, July 19 (Xinhua) -- A key segment of the Xiong'an-Xinzhou high-speed railway was completed on Friday. Engineers successfully closed the middle span of a major bridge crossing above the busy Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway in Baoding, north China's Hebei Province. The section was constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
The nearly 11-kilometer-long bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure along the 342-kilometer Xiong'an-Xinzhou high-speed railway. This new line will connect Xiong'an New Area and Xinzhou City in northern China.
