BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay Luis Alberto Lacalle Pou will pay a state visit to China from Nov. 20 to 24.

Lacalle Pou, male, was born in Uruguay on Aug. 11, 1973.

He served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives and speaker of the Chamber of Representatives, and was a former senator.

He was elected Uruguay's president in November 2019, and sworn in on March 1, 2020.
