West Bengal: A Chinese touch to Durga Puja

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], Oct 13 (ANI): The Chinese Consulate here has organised Durga Puja inside a Yunnan province-themed pandal.

The progame is being organised in collaboration with the BJ Block Puja Committee.

The Puja Pandal is built in the structure of 'Hulu', which means Chinese bottle gourd and signifies happiness and prosperity in China.

"We are very happy to participate in this event. Durga Puja is the most important festival in West Bengal. We, Chinese people, are happy to share the joy of Durga Puja," said Chinese Consul General in Kolkata, Ma Zhanwu.

Inside the Pandal, cultural performance by the Chinese artists are being showcased. (ANI)
