South Korea changes mind about food aid to the north
China News.Net Thursday 15th May, 2008
South Korea has said it is ready to hold talks with North Korea on sending food aid to its impoverished neighbour as the United Nations and aid agency warned North Korea is facing famine.
Foreign Minister Yu Myung Hwan made the fence-mending gesture after North-South tensions grew on the back of the election of South Korean President Lee Myung Bak, who was elected in December.
Despite its food shortages, North Korea has so far not asked for a new rice shipment this year from Seoul, one its largest donors in recent years.
Communist North Korea is suffering from poor harvests, summer flooding, rising grain prices and dwindling foreign aid.
As a result, the Buddhist aid group Good Friends warned that hundreds of thousands of people there were threatened with starvation.
The group has called for unconditional food aid for the North.
One of the reasons for the cause of worsening relations between Seoul and Pyongyang was Lee's insistence that South Korea would only provide economic assistance to its neighbour if it made progress towards its promise to dismantle its nuclear programs.

Ok, time for talkfests by the world is over. Time to barge in and grab all the tyrants like MUGabe, Myanmar Junta, North Korean Dictatorship, etc. and front them to the International Courts in the Hague for crimes against humanity and then rid this world of them! It’s time to step in right now and help our poor fellow humans suffering needlessly at the hands of these tyrants who serve no useful purpose in this life.

I agree with you, it is time that law and order is restored in this planet, but there are others to be placed on the list that you have made.
Let the axe fall, escluding no one, justice must prevail to live in a peaceful world.
