Gangjee tumbles on a windy, tough day in Beijing

A disastrous finish, with five bogeys over the last six holes on a difficult wind-swept day, saw India's Rahil Gangjee tumble down to a lowly tied 56th at the end of the third round of the Pine Valley Beijing Open Saturday.
Gangjee, whose lone Asian Tour win came in this city in 2004, had two birdies and three bogeys on the front during the course of a day's work of six-over 78 that now sees him at two-over 218 for three rounds.
The other Indian in the fray, Digvijay Singh (74), was tied 46. He had two birdies and four bogeys in his round of two-over.
Japanese star Hiroyuki Fujita broke clear of the chasing pack in the third round after firing an even-par 72 even as the weather department forecast tougher conditions Sunday.
The Fukuoka-born Fujita battled through to a six-shot advantage over the elite field.
Gangjee birdied the fifth and the eighth and bogeyed the third, sixth and ninth. On the back nine with no birdies in his bag, he bogeyed four in a row from 13th to 16th and again on 18th.
Thai youngster Chinnarat Phadungsil eagled the par five 13th hole on the way to a 76 in a tie for second spot together with Shinichi Yokota who shot a 69. Compatriot Shintaro Kai was even par for the day alongside Thailand's Chapchai Nirat and Prayad Marksaeng, who carded a 68 and 72 respectively in joint fourth place.
Fijian Dinesh Chand recorded his second straight 69 to be in a tie for fourth place alongside England's Simon Griffiths, who was even-par for the day for a 211 total.
